What DocZen is
DocZen operates doczen.in and the DocZen app as a directory and booking intermediary that lists independent practitioners and clinics and lets patients book an appointment with them. DocZen is an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We connect patients with practitioners, we do not employ, supervise or direct the practitioners listed on DocZen, and we do not practise medicine.
No medical advice, no outcome guarantee
Nothing on DocZen is medical advice. DocZen does not diagnose, treat or recommend treatment, and we make no guarantee about the outcome of any consultation booked through the platform. If you have a medical emergency, call 112 or go to your nearest hospital immediately, do not use DocZen.
Payment
Patients pay the practitioner or clinic directly, at the time of the visit. DocZen does not collect consultation fees from patients and does not hold or process patient payments on behalf of a clinic.
Appointment times
An appointment time shown on DocZen is set by the clinic and belongs to the clinic's own schedule. A clinic may run late for reasons outside DocZen's control, most commonly because an earlier consultation took longer than planned. DocZen shows the clinic's own estimate where available but does not guarantee you will be seen at the exact time booked.
Cancellations
Patients may cancel a booking at any time at no cost. We ask that you cancel as early as possible so the clinic can offer the slot to another patient.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocZen is not liable for the acts, omissions, advice or treatment of any practitioner or clinic listed on the platform, for a missed, delayed or cancelled appointment, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of DocZen. Your use of any practitioner's services is a matter between you and that practitioner.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India.
For practitioners
By listing on DocZen, you warrant that you hold a valid, current registration with a State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission, and that you remain solely responsible for your own compliance with the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002, and any successor regulation, including its provisions on advertising and solicitation of patients.
DocZen's fee is a subscription for software and listing services. It is not a payment made per patient, per booking or per referral.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as DocZen's services change. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
