Match the fee to the visit

The consultation fee shown in a booking belongs to a specific doctor, clinic and consultation type. Check all three before you confirm. A doctor's fee at one location or for one type of appointment may differ from another.

If the practice offers a standard visit and a separate consultation category, read the label carefully. When you are uncertain which category applies, contact the clinic and describe the appointment you want to arrange.

A consultation is not a treatment quotation

A consultation fee covers the visit described in the booking. It should not be read as the total cost of possible tests, procedures, medicines or subsequent visits. Any such costs need their own explanation from the provider.

Ask the clinic about payment methods and receipts if they matter to you. For an in-person appointment booked through DocZen, the consultation fee is paid directly to the clinic. The booking page should not be mistaken for an invoice for future care.

Check the confirmation, then keep the receipt

Before confirming, check the displayed fee and appointment details together. If the clinic later discusses a different service or amount, ask what changed before agreeing to a payment. Keep the confirmation reference so the clinic can identify the visit.

After paying at the clinic, ask for the receipt or payment record you need. If you are arranging a visit for someone else, tell them which fee you saw when booking so there is no surprise at reception.
